About the position
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A SENIOR MANAGEMENT POSITION WHICH REQUIRES HEALTH SECTOR ( HIV - PAEDIATRIC AND ADOLESCENT) AS A CORE FUNCTION Paediatric-Adolescent -Treatment Africa (PATA) is a network of healthcare provider teams in Africa dedicated to ensuring optimal prevention, treatment, care, and support for children and adolescents at risk of, or living with HIV. As an Africa-wide network, with active projects and representation in 12 countries, we are excited to embark on implementing our new Strategic Plan (2024-2030). This brings new opportunities to grow our network, share lessons, build capacity and advocate for services that are rights based, people-centered and delivered by healthcare provider champions on the frontline of the HIV response. Working closely with and reporting to the Head of Programmes and Knowledge, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and quality assurance for paediatric, adolescent and youth programmes, and facilitating learning and internal capacity building for programme staff in line with the organisation's strategy. This critical role provides clinical and technical support to country staff, facilitating the implementation of the organisation's service package and ensuring the highest quality standards. Working with Programme Managers and Country Representatives, you will focus on articulating and empowering staff to embody and maintain a distinctive technical approach that ensures the quality, consistency, and coherence of programmes, while making adaptations as necessary for different contexts. You will play a key role in supporting country teams in bridging the gap between policy and practice, while translating global practice and national guidance into accountable strategies that respond to contextual needs.
